Interim CTO (m/f/d)

Today, marketing, product, finance, and supply chain data live in separate systems. At the same time, many of our best AI ideas remain pilot projects and do not become everyday reality. This is exactly where you come in: You will lay our technical and data foundation in a few months, establish AI-first processes in daily operations – and finally recruit and smoothly hand over to your own permanent successor (Head of Ecom / Tech / Data).

One Truth for All Teams

We want to move away from Excel islands and dependency on individual data experts. You will consolidate marketing, product, finance, and supply chain data into a unified cloud data platform – with the goal that our specialized teams can control their most important KPIs fully automatically in the future, instead of manually compiling reports. For us, success means: Self-service is actually used in daily life.

AI-First Process Automation

We have many ideas for using AI in process automation – we lack the person who consistently implements them. You will anchor concrete, productively used AI use cases in our five core areas: Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Finance: from automated marketing reporting and automated analysis of customer feedback to AI support in quality assurance/regulatory affairs and centralized finance reporting. The goal is a demonstrable reduction in repetitive manual work.

Team Building

Your mandate ends with a clean handover. You will be responsible for the complete recruiting process for your successor (Head of Ecom / Tech / Data), onboard the person, and hand over systems, documentation, and responsibilities so that the internal team can continue to work independently from day 1.

• Experience: Solid track record as Interim/Freelance CTO or Senior Tech/Data Lead in the D2C or E-commerce environment (Shopify ecosystem of great advantage).

• Tech & Data Skills: Strong expertise in data architectures, self-service BI, and practical AI process automation.

• Hands-on Mentality: You independently deliver results without your own development team and enjoy direct implementation.

• Leadership & Recruiting: Experience in selecting and qualifying tech talent, as well as in structured project handover.

• Languages & Presence: Fluent German and willingness to work 3 days/week on-site in Oberhaching/Munich.
