Interim CFO

Job & Company Description: A client of mine based in Cape Town is seeking an experienced and strategic interim (CFO) to oversee the financial operations of the organization for a period of 6 months. This role requires an individual that will be instrumental in driving financial strategy, ensuring stability, and supporting domestic and international expansion plans. The ideal candidate will possess a strong finance background within insurance, coupled with proven leadership skills and strategic thinking. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial control processes. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to provide strategic financial guidance to the organization, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy. The role will also involve collaboration with the CEO, other senior executives, and the board of directors to ensure effective communication and decision-making. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong track record of success in a similar role, preferably within the insurance industry. The candidate should have a strong understanding of financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial control processes. The candidate should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. The role is a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role.
