Responsibilities:

• Develop local accident prevention and injury plans and programs.
• Program and present training/orientation programs.
• Hold monthly safety meetings with employees/drivers.
• Familiarize yourself with the local labor market, processes, and policies related to drivers.
• Manage driver hours to minimize overtime while maintaining customer service standards and established delivery indicators.
• Audit and monitor verification results, conduct driving tests for drivers, and provide necessary training.
• Ensure compliance with all company, client, OSHA, and DOT regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct safety inspections at facilities and assist in correcting deficiencies.
• Investigate vehicle accidents and employee injuries. Prepare and send related reports as required.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in security and training (experience in the transportation industry is essential).
• Prior experience in driver training, safety, and compliance.
• Oriented towards safety with experience in HOS, DOT regulations, and driver well-being.
• A minimum of three years of experience as a truck driver will be valued.
• You must have a solid understanding of the transportation industry.
• Excellent communication skills.
