Institutional Business Development Lead (Online Merchant Acquiring)

We are a fast-growing fintech company building a global payment infrastructure across issuing, acquiring, and alternative payment rails. As we expand our online acquiring capabilities, securing high-quality merchant and institutional partnerships is critical to driving transaction volume and ecosystem growth. We are seeking an Institutional Business Development Lead (Online Merchant Acquiring) to lead/support the acquisition of strategic merchants and partners across non-China markets. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a strategy to acquire and retain key merchants and partners, leveraging our existing relationships and building new ones. Key responsibilities will include: • Developing and maintaining relationships with key merchants and partners, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion. • Conducting market research and analysis to identify new merchant and partner opportunities, and developing strategies to pursue them. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new merchant and partner acquisitions. • Building and maintaining a deep understanding of the online acquiring landscape, including market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments. • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with new merchant and partner acquisitions, and developing strategies to address them. • Developing and managing budgets and forecasts for merchant and partner acquisition initiatives. • Providing regular updates and insights to senior leadership on the progress of merchant and partner acquisition initiatives. • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory developments to continuously improve and refine the merchant and partner acquisition strategy. • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a focus on the fintech or payments industry. • Proven track record of success in developing and executing business development strategies, with a focus on merchant and partner acquisition. • Strong understanding of the online acquiring landscape, including market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously. • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion. • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. • We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and a dynamic work environment that fosters innovation and collaboration. • Opportunities for professional growth and development. • Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options. • Access to cutting-edge technology and tools. • Collaborative and inclusive company culture. • Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance. •
