Job description
The Swiss Wine Trade Control is an ISO-accredited inspection body located in close proximity to the Zürich-Stettbach train station (Dübendorf/ZH). It inspects winemakers and wine trading companies in Switzerland on behalf of the federal government. To supplement the team, we are looking for an
Inspector of Wine Trade Control (80-100%)
Your Tasks
- Inspection of companies in the wine sector (cellar and financial accounting)
- Application of relevant legal bases (cantonal, national, and international law)
- Conformity checks of wines and wine products regarding geographical origin and traceability
- Plausibility checks of wine designations.
- Drafting of inspection reports.
Your Profile
- Master Craftsman's examination or Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: food/beverage industry, viticulture and wine trade, or several years of experience in inspection with solid accounting knowledge
- At least 5 years of professional experience
- Knowledge in the wine sector is an advantage
- Your native language is French or German with very good knowledge of the other national language.
- You appreciate daily contact with farm managers and are simultaneously able to demonstrate objectivity, self-assurance, discretion, and diplomacy
- You possess excellent communication skills and are service-oriented
- You demonstrate a high degree of self-organization and are extremely flexible
- Your work style is characterized by independence and efficiency, as well as accuracy and the highest quality
- A good sense for numbers and processes is essential
