Quality Inspector (M/F)

Job description

Our partner is a growing Quebec-based company specializing in metallurgy, welding, engineering, and non-destructive testing. With nearly 125 employees spread across six offices throughout Quebec, we are currently seeking a Quality Inspector for their Montreal-East office.

Main tasks :

Review of piping and equipment emissions from engineering;
a) Ensure that designs meet our standards;
b) First pass on the feasibility of proposed designs;
Support for equipment emission reviews;
Variety of technical interpretation mandates for codes;
Possibility of supporting in-service inspection initiatives;
Development of piping and equipment under pressure inspection plans (PIE);
Factory visits for new fabrications;
Support for tracking equipment repairs during plant shutdowns;
Depending on the candidate's qualifications :
a) In-service inspection support to our permanent team during peak inspection periods;
b) API 510 inspection as needed.

Job requirements :

Familiarity with codes used in pressure vessels : ASME B31.1, B31.3, ASME sect. VIII, sect. IX…;
Participate in plant shutdowns, 1-2 times per year;
Bilingualism between office and field work;
MT/PT/VT certification is an asset;
Curiosity and desire to learn.

Work conditions :

Permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week;
Varying schedule (day, evening, or night);
Possibility of overtime as needed;
Participate in plant shutdowns, 1-2 times per year;
Salary : to be discussed, based on experience and qualifications.
