As a purchasing assistant, you will support the Senior Buyer and the entire purchasing department. You will ensure smooth administration, accurate follow-up of assortments and promotions, and be a key link between suppliers, stores, and internal teams.
Your tasks include:
• Managing and keeping the complete item file up-to-date
• Daily communication with suppliers, stores, and internal teams
• Administrative support for the Senior Buyer and the purchasing department
• Following up on flyers, campaigns, promotions, and commercial initiatives
• Supporting with SAP, cash register systems, and after-sales issues
• Preparing reports and documentation
• Actively contributing ideas for improvements in processes and systemsProfileWho are you?
A communicative, accurate, and analytical team player with commercial insight and an eye for detail. We are looking for candidates who recognize themselves in the following profile:
• You are looking for a permanent job as a purchasing assistant in the Wommelgem region
• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in a business administration direction
• You have at least 2 years of experience in an administrative or support role
• Experience in retail or a commercial environment is a plus
• You have strong MS Office skills, especially in Excel; SAP knowledge is an added value
• You speak Dutch fluently and have a very good knowledge of French
• You work accurately, structured, and are analytically strong
• You feel at home in a dynamic, no-nonsense DIY environment. You are proactive, think along with internal customers, and support colleagues where necessary.OfferWhat do we offer you?
