Inhouse Consultant ERP / Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (m/f/d)

For our client, an established medium-sized company in the Merzig area, we are looking for an Inhouse Consultant ERP / Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (m/f/d) for immediate hire in full-time. This is a permanent position directly with the company.

Responsibilities

Together with the business departments, you will further develop the company's ERP and process landscape. Your responsibilities will include:

• Support, configuration, and further development of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Analysis and optimization of existing business processes
• Digitalization and further development of internal company workflows
• Support for users with questions regarding Business Central
• Execution of tests and quality assurance for new or adapted software solutions
• Documentation of system changes, processes, and applications
• Support in the Microsoft 365 environment, particularly Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange Online
• Participation in digitalization, automation, and AI projects
• Introduction of new IT-supported working methods
• Coordination with internal contacts and external IT or software partners
• Occasional support with technical IT topics

The focus of the position is on ERP, business processes, and digitalization.

Qualifications

You have completed vocational training or a degree in a commercial or IT-related field, for example in:

Computer Science
Business Informatics
IT Specialist
IT System Management

Other professional backgrounds are also possible if you have practical experience with ERP systems, business processes, or digitalization topics. In addition, you ideally bring:

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a comparable ERP system such as SAP, Sage, or similar solutions
• Good understanding of operational processes and business workflows
• Proficient use of Microsoft 365
• Interest in process optimization and digitalization
• Interest in AI, automation, LLMs, or modern software solutions
• Knowledge of Power Platform or Microsoft Azure is an advantage
• Analytical thinking and technical interest
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• Good German language skills, English skills are an advantage

You don't have to be an established Business Central specialist yet. Applicants with experience in other ERP systems as well as dedicated career starters with a good understanding of IT and business processes are also welcome. Crucial are your motivation, your process understanding, and your willingness to immerse yourself intensively in the existing system landscape.
