CHIEF ENGINEER – PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT

BICO INDUSTRIES S.A. is expanding its team and is looking for a Chief Engineer – Production Department, with managerial and technical experience, capable of efficiently coordinating production activities and the teams under their supervision.

We are looking for a results-oriented professional with a good understanding of industrial processes, who will actively contribute to increasing the efficiency, operational discipline, and performance of the department.

Main Responsibilities

• Coordinates and organizes the activities of the production department, ensuring the fulfillment of the production plan in terms of quality, cost, and deadlines;
• Coordinates, motivates, and evaluates subordinate personnel and ensures the efficient distribution of responsibilities;
• Monitors compliance with technological parameters, procedures, and work instructions;
• Monitors the department's performance indicators and proposes measures to improve productivity and reduce losses;
• Identifies technical and operational problems and coordinates the implementation of necessary solutions;
• Participates in the optimization of technological flows, consumption, and equipment utilization;
• Ensures the efficient use of material, technical, and human resources;
• Monitors the technical condition and proper operation of machinery and equipment in the department;
• Coordinates the implementation of continuous improvement and process efficiency measures;
• Ensures compliance with quality standards, Health and Safety, Fire Safety, and internal regulations;
• Develops the subordinate team and contributes to fostering a culture based on responsibility, collaboration, and performance.

Candidate Profile

• Completed higher technical education – mechanical, industrial, electromechanical engineering, or a similar field;
• Relevant experience in an industrial production environment;
• Managerial experience and experience in coordinating production teams;
• Solid technical knowledge of production processes, industrial machinery, and equipment;
• Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills;
• Leadership, communication, and team management abilities;
• Capacity for analysis and rapid resolution of technical and operational problems;
• Orientation towards results, productivity, quality, and meeting deadlines;
• Ability to make decisions and manage situations with a high degree of responsibility;
• Initiative and concern for continuous process optimization;
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / 5S / Kaizen methods is an advantage.
