IT Security Engineer

General Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and computer network
• Ensure that systems function at an optimal level
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for IT infrastructure to ensure coherence and reliability
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in IT infrastructure to identify opportunities for improvement
• Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies and regulations
• Participate in risk assessment and planning for disaster recovery and business continuity
• Provide technical assistance to end-users.
• Perform other work tasks assigned according to the specific activity.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for all aspects related to information security within the company, including planning and developing a strategy for information security.
• Ensure that technology respects laws and regulations in force, guaranteeing at the same time that the IT environment of the company is secure.
• Build and implement a risk management framework (risk-based approach) to ensure the application of controls according to risks.
• Create, implement, and test IT security checks
• Develop standards and procedures for classifying information to be managed accordingly.

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Active Directory (adding users, modifying access rights etc.);
• Advanced knowledge in administering Active Directory, FTP/Sftp, MS-SQL, MS-SharePoint, MS-Exchange.
• Advanced knowledge in working with VMware ESX, Network Attached Storage and Storage Area Network;
• Advanced knowledge about LAN/WAN based on TCP/IP;
• Advanced knowledge about operating systems: Windows (especially), Linux (preferably)
• Certifications - at least 1 of the following: - CISSP/ CISA/CRISC/ISO 27001 (preferably) or MCSE/ CCNA (eventually equivalent).
• Ingenuity and aptitude in problem-solving
• Excellent communication skills/personal abilities
