Senior Road and Bridge Engineer/Geotechnical Engineer

KONSENT is seeking experienced Road and Bridge Engineers/Geotechnical Engineers with experience in designing roadworks, bridges, structures, and geotechnical/foundations for offices in Iași and Brașov.

Positions:
• Mid-Level: 2-5 years
• Senior: 5+ years of experience in designing national roads (or superior).

The purpose of the position is to prepare technical documents for all stages of elaboration (Design Theme, Feasibility Study/Authorization Document for Construction Works, Technical Documentation for Obtaining Building Permit, Execution Technical Design) and ensure technical assistance from the designer.

Physical conditions of work: Office work, site visits
Type contract: indefinite period

Job Requirements:
• Higher education in civil engineering - CFDP specialization or equivalent;
• Advantage: involvement in projects of national roads, expressways, or highways, with relevance to the specific works of major road infrastructure and/or designing structures (bridges, passages, viaducts) within projects of national roads, expressways, or highways;
• Experience in implementing projects both during the design phase and technical assistance during execution;
• Knowledge of standards and norms specific to road and bridge design, geotechnical/foundations;
• Solid knowledge, mandatory in at least one of the specific design programs;
• Communication and teamwork skills;
• Attention to detail, well-structured technical thinking, and capacity for managing multiple projects simultaneously, according to priorities;
• Efficient time management, initiative;
• Driving license category B.

Main Responsibilities:
• Ensure the design activity for projects, in accordance with assigned activities by project manager/department head;
• Will be responsible for all aspects related to road/drill/foundation design, proposed solutions, data interpretation from studies conducted and choosing the best solution for project realization.
• Collect relevant information and documents for proper project execution and finalization;
• Participate in internal and external approvals (beneficiary and approval bodies);
• Prepare technical SF, DTAC, PT+DE documents and technical assistance during the execution phase;
• Prepare CU, authorization, agreement, and follow-up for obtaining authorizations;
• Make preliminary measurements;
• Update project design documents following modifications during the execution phase;
• Participate in preparing offers for tenders (quantity calculations, design sketches);
• Respond and support prepared documentation in front of the beneficiary;
• Collaborate with specialty designers for correlating technical data on specialties;
• Availability for site visits, inspections, etc.
