Job Description: Piping Engineer
We are looking for a piping engineer (over 3 years of experience) with a mechanical or chemical background, who has worked in the field of design (possibly even in the field of piping design). As a piping engineer, you will need to know, or want to learn within the DARO PROIECT team:
- Norms and international standards that regulate the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of piping systems
- Types of materials and their usage conditions
- Methods for calculating and simulating fluid flow, hydraulic analysis, stress analysis
- 3D modeling of technological installations: equipment, pipes, constructions, etc.
- Extraction of isometric views, plans, and sections from the 3D model
- Verification programs for estimating lifespan and analyzing control results
- Site visits, terrain
Responsibilities:
- Design new piping systems: 3D modeling, extraction of views in plan and sections, generating isometric views, technical reports, specifications, and technical files, lists
- Repair or modify existing pipes
- Verification Technical Programs in Use for existing pipes and Technical Reports
- Participation in technical discussions to clarify with Clients and Constructors
- Site visits and on-site inspections
- You will be responsible for all documents you will prepare
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Energy Engineering from a University
- Familiar with CAD software (Autocad or other), 3D design, technical drawing
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiar with norms and standards for piping design PT ISCIR C10, C6, C9, C8, EN13480, ASME B31.1, B31.3
- Knowledge of materials and standards used in piping system design and execution
- Ability to read a P&ID and develop a mounting project based on a P&ID
- Learning abilities
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Seriousness, keeping one's word
- Using work time efficiently
- Respecting workplace safety rules
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a piping engineer
It would be good if:
- You know elements of material resistance, material studies, finite element calculations
- You know hydrodynamic and gas-dynamic laws, thermodynamic principles, conservation laws, heat transfer
- You can drive a car, permit category B
- You have ISU, ANRE, VP, Expert authorizations
- You have specific skills, for example – pipe calculations with CAESR II.
Techinical and technological competencies:
- Understanding of the basics of resistance calculations and process flow calculations
- Understanding of finite element calculations
- Working efficiently in Autocad and other overlay programs
- Understanding and assimilation of design codes, standards
Nontechnical skills and cultural compatibility:
- A strong desire to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work in a team, good understanding with team members, understanding of the common goal and role in the team
- Attention to detail trying not to lose sight of the overall picture
- Respect for rules
- A desire to stay within the team for a long time
- An active attitude, ability to take initiative when needed
Benefits:
a. The employment is initially made on a fixed-term contract (3 months) to get to know each other and see if we want to collaborate in the long term. After the probation period expires, we discuss the terms of the contract for an indefinite period
b. Gross salary during the probation period 7500 lei / month
c. Recommended gross salary after the probation period 10000 lei / month. The salary will be renegotiated as you gain experience and responsibility. The salary will be directly proportional to your contribution to ongoing projects.
d. Project bonuses – depending on role and volume of project part realized
e. Vacation pay
f. Training for acquiring new qualifications, participation in engineering conferences and fairs
g. Annual medical check-up including basic medical tests
h. Paid days off: 21 days/year, public holidays, the week after Easter and between December 25th and January 7th
i. Complete personal protective equipment provided free of charge
j. Daily allowance for delegates; travel expenses are covered, local travel is ensured by car
