Operations Engineer – Tenders

FCC Environment Romania is expanding its team and is looking for an Operations Engineer – Tenders

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to both the development of new projects and tenders, as well as the optimization of current operational activities, by applying the principles of industrial engineering, logistics, and economic analysis.

Main Responsibilities

Projects and Tenders

• Analyzes tender documentation and develops the operational model required for carrying out activities, including determining the necessary machinery, equipment, facilities, and resources.
• Designs operational flows and work models based on activity volumes, productivity, execution times, and contractual requirements.
• Calculates the personnel, equipment, vehicles, and other resources needed for carrying out activities efficiently and in compliance.
• Develops estimates for operational costs, resource consumption, and productivity indicators.
• Determines and validates consumption norms for materials, fuel, energy, human resources, and other operational resources.
• Identifies investment opportunities in equipment, technologies, and technical solutions and prepares the relevant technical-economic justifications.
• Analyzes operational risks associated with projects and proposes measures for their prevention and reduction.
• Actively participates in the development of technical offers within tender processes.
• Supports and, where applicable, coordinates the implementation of new projects during the mobilization period, ensuring compliance with assumed commitments and contractual requirements.

Current Operational Activity

• Actively participates in the analysis and improvement of the company's operational processes.
• Monitors activity performance and identifies opportunities for optimization and efficiency.
• Proposes and implements measures to reduce resource consumption and increase productivity.
• Analyzes existing processes and develops activity organization models based on industrial engineering principles and operational excellence.
• Collaborates with operational, technical, logistics, and financial departments to implement improvement initiatives.
• Contributes to process standardization and the development of best operational practices across the company.

Candidate Profile

• Higher education in technical fields (Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, or similar fields).
• Understanding of operational, logistics, and production organization processes.
• Economic knowledge regarding costs, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Excellent analytical, modeling, and resource dimensioning skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and participate in complex projects.
• Availability for field travel.
