Career Opportunities - Fire Fighting Engineer

We are looking for a Fire Fighting Engineer who will join our team in Bucharest – Ilfov or Transilvania Cluj-Napoca, partially remote. A person with advanced knowledge in the field of active fire protection, eager to participate in projects of scope, together with colleagues from the HVAC & Fire Fighting Division. The main objectives will be installing, configuring, programming, testing and maintaining water-based fire fighting systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate actively in active fire protection works with water-based fire fighting systems: modernizations, equipment installations, programming, tests, adjustments, verifications, repairs, maintenance and technical support.
• Identify the solution to be implemented.
• Choose the most suitable fire fighting equipment for client needs (internal/external hydrants, sprinklers, drenchers, water mist, foam).
• Participate in preparing an offer for the client.
• Participate in project execution planning.
• Participate in installing, configuring and programming fire fighting systems.
• Participate in technical discussions and coordination meetings on site.
• Surveillance of installers and subcontractors AVITECH on site when necessary.
• Prepare activity reports in accordance with internal working documents of the department from which it belongs.
• Continuously improve knowledge and technical skills through participation in training sessions organized by AVITECH or its technology partners.

Ideal Candidate

Education and Experience

• Higher education in installations, hydraulics, fluid mechanics.
• Advanced knowledge in water-based fire fighting technology.
• Solid knowledge in MEP installation domain.
• Solid knowledge of Romanian legislation and international standards in the field of active fire protection.
• Advanced level of English, written and spoken.
• Prior work experience on site.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position, Installation/Programming and Putting into Operation/Maintenance equipment Tyco/Viking/Grundfos/Minimax/Victaulic/similar.
