Installations Engineer – Retail Fit-Out

Tabique Construct is expanding its team and is looking for an Installations Engineer focused on bidding, preparing, and implementing installations for projects involving the design and fit-out of stores located in shopping centers.

You will analyze technical documentation, check bills of quantities, prepare bids and material requirements, and provide technical support to site teams.

The main objective is to ensure that installation works are correctly bid and executed, in accordance with the project, client's requirements, budget, and established deadlines.

• Analyzing projects and technical documentation for electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection installations;
• Reading and interpreting plans, diagrams, technical details, and specifications;
• Verifying bills of quantities – BOQ – against received projects;
• Identifying and reporting discrepancies between plans, specifications, and bills of quantities;
• Preparing technical and economic bids for installation works;
• Developing quantity surveys, cost estimates, and work progress reports;
• Evaluating existing installations and site conditions before work begins;
• Preparing material summaries and technical specifications required for procurement;
• Requesting and analyzing bids received from suppliers and subcontractors;
• Identifying appropriate technical and economic solutions for the project;
• Monitoring orders and deliveries of equipment and materials;
• Preparing lists of works for installation subcontractors;
• Verifying the quantity and quality of works executed by subcontractors;
• Providing technical support to site teams for interpreting projects and resolving ambiguities;
• Participating in inspections, tests, trials, and commissioning;
• Identifying discrepancies between the project and the actual site situation;
• Proposing technical solutions necessary for continuing work;
• Documenting progress and technical decisions through reports, photographs, and site notes;
• Monitoring compliance with quality standards, budget, and execution deadlines.

• Graduate of the Faculty of Building Installations or a similar technical specialization;
• Minimum one year of experience in building installations, interior design, or fit-out;
• Experience in retail projects and works in shopping centers is an advantage;
• Technical knowledge in at least one of the following specializations: electrical installations, HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection;
• Excellent ability to read and interpret technical plans and diagrams;
• Experience in preparing or verifying bills of quantities;
• Experience in preparing bids, cost estimates, and work progress reports;
• Knowledge regarding the preparation of material and equipment requirements;
• Knowledge of norms and standards applicable to building installations;
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office;
• Experience with cost estimation software is an advantage;
• Conversational and technical English language skills;
• Technical-economic analysis capability and attention to detail;
• Good communication skills with suppliers, subcontractors, and execution teams;
• Organized, responsible, proactive, and solution-oriented individual;
• Ability to prioritize and work under deadline conditions;
• Availability for travel to construction sites within the country and abroad;
• Category B driver's license is an advantage;
• Availability for extended working hours during critical project phases.
