Ideal Candidate

• University degree in a technical field, preferably Electrical Engineering, Installations;
• Minimum 1 year of experience in bidding, preparing estimates, or similar activities;
• Experience in electrical installations is a significant advantage;
• Experience in analyzing technical documentation and documentation for public and/or private tenders;
• Knowledge of work execution technologies, especially low and medium voltage electrical installations;
• Knowledge of related civil and industrial construction works is an advantage;
• Knowledge of the market for electrical materials, equipment, and solutions;
• Experience in using estimating software. Knowledge of WinDev, Intersoft, E-Devize, or similar software is an advantage;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook;
• Very good technical and economic analysis skills;
• High attention to detail and accuracy when working with numbers, quantities, and costs;
• Good organizational and prioritization skills;
• Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects and deadlines;
• Good communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills;
• Relevant courses or certifications in electrical installations and/or estimating are an advantage;
• Driving license category B is an advantage.

Job Description

• Analyzing specifications, data sheets, plans, quantity lists, and technical reports, with a focus on electrical installation works;
• Verifying quantity lists prepared by the designer and identifying any discrepancies between the project, the specifications, and the quantities;
• Maintaining contact with designers and requesting necessary clarifications for the correct preparation of offers;
• Preparing technical and financial offers for electrical installation works;
• Developing estimates and financial documentation in specific software, including filling out forms related to procurement procedures, according to applicable requirements;
• Consolidating quantities of materials, equipment, and resources needed for work execution;
• Requesting offers from suppliers and subcontractors;
• Analyzing and comparing received offers, from a technical and financial perspective;
• Updating unit prices and cost bases used in estimate preparation;
• Preparing, verifying, and updating estimates for projects being bid on or under execution;
• Verifying the correlation between the project, the estimate, the ordered quantities, and the executed works;
• Preparing and justifying technical responses to clarification requests;
• Preparing and verifying work statements;
• Participating in the preparation of documentation related to the technical passport of the construction/installation;
• Collaborating with electrical engineers, technicians, and other departments involved in the project for the correct and complete preparation of offers and estimates;
• Simultaneously managing multiple offers and meeting deadlines.

For our technical team in Cluj Napoca, we are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Electrical Estimating Engineer, who will contribute to the preparation and verification of estimates, quantity lists, material requirements, and work statements, in collaboration with the technical, bidding, procurement, and project management departments.

The role is part of the production/execution area and involves permanent collaboration with the technical teams, procurement, bidding, design, and project management departments, to ensure accurate record-keeping of quantities, costs, resources, and executed works.
