Quality Control Engineer
Job description
Responsibilities:
- Performs site visits in accordance with the Work Program to oversee construction work;
- Participates in tests conducted within the Site and takes samples for laboratory personnel;
- Communicates/ maintains contact with laboratory personnel regarding tests and trials performed;
- Informs Quality Manager about Site activities;
- Participates in FAT (factory acceptance testing) at manufacturers/providers;
- Ensures that all quality documents received from manufacturers/providers are valid and comply with technical norms, respecting traceability;
- During execution, verifies executed work to establish whether it is performed in accordance with contractual requirements, Project Quality Assurance Plan, and technical execution procedures;
- Alongside the Technical Execution Responsible, participates in verifying executed work to establish conformity with the Technical Project and Task Sheets,
- Analyzes integrity/ legality/ conformity of documents received from suppliers or site-made;
- Ensures that laboratory test results respect frequency and specifications in Task Sheets.
- Collects documentation attesting to work quality and prepares Quality Reception Protocols/ Hidden Work Protocols, manages signing by responsible personnel from the Site (RTE and Site Manager) as well as by the Beneficiary through its representative, Site Director;
- Keeps a record of quality documents in the Record Book for works and archives accepted/signed protocols by the Director;
- Compiles and manages the archive of quality records in accordance with the system established in the Project Quality Assurance Plan (PACP);
- Prepares documentation for Determinant Phases and participates alongside RTE in receiving work that is part of the Determinant Phase;
- Communicates with Site Manager and RTE, organizes verifications for parts of completed work to achieve reception;
- Identifies and communicates any non-conformities to the Quality Manager and Technical Execution Responsible;
- Responds for certifying work through preparing Protocols;
- Follows the use in work of approved materials, prefabricated items, etc. agreed upon and approved by Consultancy;
- Participates in material, prefabricated item reception at the factory with Consultancy;
- Realizes material receipt at the Site warehouse before placing it into operation, alongside designated persons from Consultancy and/or the Beneficiary;
- Participates in receiving executed work alongside Consultancy;
- Compiles and manages the archive of quality records in accordance with the system established in the Site Quality Management Manual;
- Prepares the Technical Construction Book that will be transmitted later to the Central Archive of the company and to the Beneficiary (if this is required by contract);
Requirements:
- Civil engineer for railways, roads, and bridges;
- total previous experience: minimum 3 years
