Missions

The role of the platform engineer consists of maintaining the THD and blockchain platforms for the RST department, and collaborating with the system and platform engineers of the department to provide a quality service to its members, whether for their research or teaching activities.

Activities

• Maintain and administer the THD platform, encompassing both the system and network infrastructure (infrastructure, access, resource orchestration) and computing resources to facilitate the complete lifecycle of Machine Learning experiments

• Maintain and administer the blockchain platform (maintenance, deployment, development of new smart contracts, and potential integration of connected objects to the platform)

• Participate in the maintenance of the department's computer labs and the smooth execution of practical work sessions, according to the team's needs
  
  This work will be carried out in consultation with the administration, teaching, and research teams

Education

• Master's degree (Bac + 5) or equivalent

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

• Solid knowledge in Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, networking, DevOps, MLOps

• Knowledge of programming languages (C/C++, Python, Java, Bash)

• Some exposure to blockchain and cybersecurity (optional)

• Spoken and written French

Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

• Critical thinking

• Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps

Abilities and Aptitudes

• Rigor, project management methods

• Good interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels, listening and cooperation skills

• Ability to work in a team

Salary Indications:

• Indicative salary range (excluding variable annual bonus): 33,700 - 45,000 euros gross per year, depending on profile and experience (reduced social charges in the public sector).
