Engineer (H/F/X)

The Port of Brussels, a public utility organization of category B, has the mission to manage, operate and develop the canal, port, foreport as well as all port installations in the Brussels-Capital Region in a sustainable way. In the framework of an open-ended contract, the Port of Brussels is looking for an Engineer (H/F/X) who will be responsible for the following tasks: • Developing and implementing a sustainable port development strategy; • Conducting studies and analyses on the impact of climate change on the port's activities; • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement measures to reduce the port's environmental footprint; • Identifying and prioritizing areas for improvement in terms of sustainability and environmental performance; • Developing and implementing a plan to achieve the port's sustainability objectives; • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the sustainability strategy and making recommendations for improvement. The ideal candidate will have: • A Master's degree in engineering, environmental science or a related field; • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position; • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; • Fluency in French and English.
