Tasks and responsibilities

To be responsible for designing electrical systems, from understanding client needs to supporting construction sites :

• Understand client needs, establish design criteria, conduct technical surveys.
  
• Authenticate engineering documents: load lists, single-line diagrams, installation plans and cabling plans, etc.
  
• Establish technical specifications: equipment, motors, MCCs, generators, grounding, distribution, etc.
  
• Select equipment and propose technological solutions adapted to client needs and context.
  
• Conduct studies, technical calculations and write recommendations based on codes and standards.
  
• Determine coordination of protections.
  
• Support construction site teams during execution by responding to technical questions and making recommendations.
  
• Collaborate with clients to ensure personalized and effective service.
  

Profile

• A member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  
• 5 years of experience in designing industrial electrical systems.
  
• Experience in construction projects and an industrial setting.
  
• Mastery of AutoCAD and MS Office suite.
  
• Very good knowledge of the Quebec Construction Code - Chapter V.
  
• Comfortable in a construction site context.
  
• Excellent mastery of spoken and written French.
  
• A valid driver's license and ASP Construction certification.
