Design Engineer (Repairs)

Job description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for analyzing damage reports, developing and defining innovative repair solutions, in accordance with applicable certification requirements for all components and/or assemblies of the aircraft structure.

  • Ensure the safety and navigability of the aircraft by reporting any non-safe situation and ensuring compliance with delivery objectives in terms of deadlines and quality.
  • Provide repair instructions conforming to certification/navigability requirements, as well as company processes and methods.
  • Design complex repairs using CATIA V5.
  • Coordinate proposed repair solutions with other stakeholders and consider implications of navigability regulations, materials and procedures, aerodynamic effects, and any other required function.

Requirements

Your PROFILE IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR SUCCESS

  • You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering.
  • You have at least three years of relevant experience in design within the aerospace industry.
  • You understand certification requirements and navigability constraints during aircraft structure design.
  • Knowledge of customer operations, product integrity/responsibility, and maintenance operations is an asset.
  • You master the following tools: CATIA V5, Enovia, and manuals SRM, ASRP, NTM.
  • You are a dynamic, proactive person with a strong sense of responsibility and client-oriented.
  • You are organized, able to manage your time and prioritize tasks effectively, while respecting tight deadlines.
  • A good level of English and French is required.
