Missions

  • Conduct fundamental and applied computer science research on state identification and detection of race conditions in real-time systems.

  • Study and develop approaches to improve the reliability and performance of distributed network systems.

  • Utilize real-time formal models, state identification methods, and race condition detection strategies.

  • Contribute to the development of new analysis and verification methods for real-time systems.

Activities

 1. Conduct research on state identification and detection of race conditions in real-time systems

  • Actively and regularly participate in research team meetings.

  • Collaborate with team members on scientific work.

  • Model distributed network systems using Timed Automata and Timed Finite State Machines.

  • Specify and verify temporal properties, particularly race conditions, using solvers and formal verification tools such as UPPAAL.

  • Implement and evaluate existing methods for generating state identification sequences for timed automata and timed finite state machines, including synchronizing sequences, initial state determination (homing sequences), and distinguishing sequences.

  • Exploit techniques such as successor trees and abstraction methods to derive state identification sequences.

  • Design new strategies for state identification and race condition detection.

  • Conduct experiments, analyze results, and evaluate the performance of developed methods.

2. Valorize and disseminate research results

  • Write scientific papers and contribute to their publication in international journals and conferences.

  • Present work results at conferences, seminars, symposia, and other scientific events.

  • Participate in scientific exchanges and contribute to the dissemination of knowledge within the research community.
