HVAC & Plumbing Engineer

As an HVAC and Plumbing Design Office in the field of sustainable and intelligent buildings, DEERNS is looking for a senior or experienced HVAC Engineer for its Paris office.

You will be responsible for HVAC/Plumbing design for projects, ensuring the quality of studies produced and technical documents issued. You are the leader of the "HVAC/Plumbing" discipline and are responsible for supervising less experienced engineers. You are in regular contact with the client to define design requirements at the start of the project, develop HVAC concepts, and lead a team of engineers and specialists. Depending on the size of the projects (significant and complex), you will assist the Project Manager in the overall project management.

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

• To carry out technical design studies in liaison with the project manager, the architect, and the client.

• To establish thermal balance calculations, calculation notes, system sizing, written specifications, as well as plans and diagrams, from the preliminary design phase (APS) up to the tender documents for companies.

• To analyze company bids and finalize contracts, as well as monitor and control execution studies.

• To supervise the construction site to verify the technical conformity of the works until the acceptance of the structures.

Job requirements

• You have a BAC + 5 degree (Master's level) in HVAC/Thermal/Mechanical Engineering.

• You have between 5 and 10 years of experience in design in the considered field, preferably within an engineering company.

• Skills in environmental engineering and in building technical trades: sanitary plumbing, BMS, as well as knowledge of Fire Safety regulations are desired.

• Autonomous and rigorous.

• You have a mastery of English and French (spoken and written) to be able to evolve within Deerns' international context.
