Job Description
We are recruiting a Structural Calculation Engineer to join our INDUSTRY BU within the Numerical Simulation agency. This agency brings together our expertise in scientific calculation, modeling, scientific application maintenance in operational conditions (TMA), and complex physical phenomena studies.
Your missions:
You will be responsible for meshing and three-dimensional simulations of target perforation and projectile trajectories using ABAQUS and/or LS-DYNA.
The mission consists of performing the following tasks:
- Analysis of plans,
- Taking over, modifying, or simplifying CAD files,
- Relevant modeling choices,
- Mesh creation or modification,
- Data input,
- Monitoring and fine-tuning of calculations,
- Analysis, exploitation, and interpretation of results,
- Parametric studies,
- Potentially preparation and monitoring of tests,
- Writing summary notes.
Technical environment:
- Three-dimensional simulations of target perforation and projectile trajectories
- ABAQUS
- LS-DYNA
Qualifications
With a Master's degree (Bac+5) or equivalent university degree in a scientific or technical field, you have a minimum of 3 years of experience in structural calculation, including issues related to high-speed dynamics and impacts. You have solid skills in structural mechanics and finite element modeling.
You have a good command of mechanical calculation software and are comfortable using them to conduct your analyses. Autonomous in managing your tasks, you know how to produce clear and structured deliverables, with particular attention to writing quality and the relevance of your reporting.
