Job description
Reporting to the SOGECLAIR Aerospace Additive Manufacturing team, you will be responsible for designing, sizing, and testing thermal equipment for the aeronautics, space, defense, and energy sectors. In the adjacent factory, concepts will be manufactured by the production team and tested by you.
You will work in an innovative environment, in direct interaction with the production, simulation, and testing teams.
ACTIVITIES:
- Development of thermal equipment concepts according to specifications
(sizing, thermo-fluidic calculation, experimental validation, qualification) - Participation in co-development with clients
- Involvement in design reviews
- Involvement in manufacturing process choices
- Definition of the test plan and execution of tests on the bench.
- Contribution to the development, experimental validation of models, and updating of test correlations and databases
- Writing of test protocols and reports
- Supervision of experimental validation activities
- Interaction with clients and subcontractors
- Training of colleagues
Requirements
Skills / Tools:
- Mastery of heat transfer and fluid mechanics phenomena
- Experience in heat exchanger sizing
- Proven experience in testing thermo-fluidic equipment: setup, execution of a test campaign, analysis, and interpretation of results
- Ability to manage a project from the pre-sales phase to final delivery and client acceptance (OTD, OQD, ...).
- Writing of technical notes, methods, justification files, and specifications
- Knowledge of a programming and modeling language: Python, Matlab, VBA, EES…
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team (design, testing, calculation, production)
Linguistic Knowledge:
- English required (oral and written), B2 level

- Scientific rigor and synthesis skills
- Autonomy, commitment
Complementary Skills Appreciated
- Appreciated mastery of Ansys Fluent CFD software
- Appreciated mastery of Labview programming software
- Notions in thermo-mechanics
- Ease in sharing knowledge and training team members
- Ability to innovate and interest in additive manufacturing
- Knowledge of CAD software (e.g., CATIA)
PROFILE:
Education and Experience:
- Master's degree (Bac+5) – Engineering degree or specialized Master's in Thermal Analysis
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the thermal field
