Mission Context

As part of a long-term mission in the defense and shipbuilding sector, we are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer (M/F). You will be involved in electrical studies during the preliminary design phase and the project execution phase, in accordance with current standards and regulations. You will also act as a technical referent and participate in the management of study activities.

Missions

• Study your specialty during the preliminary design phase and the project execution phase, in accordance with current standards and regulations.

• During the preliminary design phase, draft the technical specifications of the vessel in your specialty, according to the specifications.

• Size and define the equipment related to your technical function.

• Establish quotes based on preliminary design studies, in collaboration with project managers.

• Generate the schedule for the team of drafters and define their workload.

• Technically approve the purchase of equipment from subcontractors and suppliers.

• Approve the technical compliance of the study files generated by your team.

• Achieve the objectives set by the project managers in terms of costs and deadlines within your specialty.

• Monitor the approval of plans and documents with control bodies, from a technical perspective and according to current regulations.

• Develop and evolve the standards and business guides associated with your specialty.

• Propose improvement solutions for mass and/or cost reduction, particularly through value analysis.

• Research innovations by proposing coherent and compatible adaptations and modifications with the defined objective, with technical and hierarchical validation.

• Cooperate with other technical functions.

• Participate in study meetings as a technical referent.

• Engineering-level training and technical skills, or significant experience as an experienced electrical designer.

• Experience in electricity applied to shipbuilding.

• Mastery of English, both written and spoken.

• Knowledge of 3DExperience software will be appreciated.

• Rigor and strong interpersonal skills.

• Real managerial abilities to perform the function with various internal and/or external stakeholders.

• Within the framework of regulatory constraints related to the defense sector, the mission requires satisfying the access conditions applicable to the concerned activities, particularly regarding French nationality (or citizen of a European country) and the verification of criminal records.
