Engineer Landscape Planning & Conservation (m/w/d) Environmental Consulting in Hockenheim (1675)
Job description
Your career in environmental planning and consulting.
In this position, you will take on a central role in the environmental conservation of infrastructure projects in deep and pipeline construction. You ensure permit processes, create comprehensive expert reports, and advise project teams on the environmentally compatible implementation of demanding projects.
Tasks
- Permit Management: Preparation and submission of nature conservation applications to ensure legally compliant project implementations.
- Specialized Planning: Development of expert reports for nature conservation and landscape planning (LBPs) within the framework of infrastructure measures.
- Species Conservation: Creation of comprehensive species conservation expert reports to comply with statutory requirements and protect biodiversity.
- Environmental Assessments: Conducting Natura 2000 and UVP preliminary assessments, as well as environmental impact assessments in accordance with national and European standards.
- Ecological Construction Guidance: Advising and accompanying projects during implementation, taking into account nature conservation requirements.
- Interface Consulting: Providing expert support to project developers, clients, and authorities throughout the permit and planning process.
Qualification
- Qualification: Completed studies in the field of landscape conservation, environmental planning, nature conservation, ecology or comparable qualification.
- Fachwissen: Knowledge of environmental and nature conservation law as well as expertise in environmental planning reports and permit procedures.
- GIS Competence: Experience working with GIS systems such as ArcGIS or QGIS is advantageous.
- Knowledge of vegetation science and ideally experience in biotope mapping.
- Work Style: Independent, structured approach with a strong advisory and communication skills.
