Civil Engineering Site Inspector

Job description

TEHORA is currently seeking a civil engineering site inspector having excellent technical skills, excellent knowledge, and who wishes to leverage their expertise within a versatile team.

Without being exhaustive, here are the services and deliverables that the selected person will be expected to provide.

Description of works or deliverables :

  • Ensure continuous presence during the execution of civil engineering underground works, particularly for following up on work progress and noting changes resulting from specific conditions;
  • Verify documents provided by contractors;
  • Prepare large-scale drawings of non-predictable details prior to final plans preparation but required for construction;
  • Formulate written advice on technical problems arising during construction, requiring consideration, with or without site visit;
  • Verify workshop and manufacturer's drawings to ensure they meet market conditions, all for recommendation purposes;
  • Prepare and send correspondence related to construction work;
  • Formulate recommendations to the CITY regarding approval of construction materials or equipment equivalence;
  • Consult on civil engineering aspects for a project monitoring infrastructure municipal works.

Requirements

  • Must be an engineer member of the OIQ;
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in site inspection;
  • Have completed three (3) construction monitoring projects for highways over the past eight (8) years;
  • Hold a Construction ASP Card. (Preferred)

SALARY

The salary will be calculated based on the average hourly rate corresponding to your profile.

WORKPLACE

The workplace will be determined according to the mandate, which may be remote work or at the client's site.
