Junior Civil Infrastructure Engineer (m/f)

Job description

The TEHORA group is currently looking for a junior civil infrastructure engineer having excellent technical skills, excellent knowledge, and who wants to put their skills to use within a versatile team.

Your role will mainly consist of assisting a senior engineer in designing underground services (sewers, aqueducts, fire protection), roads, drainage systems (sewers, culverts, ditches, retention basins), excavation works, and other diverse infrastructure projects for municipal sectors.

Without being exhaustive, here are the services and deliverables that the selected engineer will have to provide:

  • Participate in study projects, prepare plans and estimates for civil engineering work
  • Participate in designing underground services, roads, drainage systems, and diverse infrastructure
  • Makes drainage calculations using the rational method and PCSWMM (atout)
  • Optimize fill and excavation
  • Establish criteria for road geometry design and infrastructure
  • Prepare quantity sheets
  • Write technical reports and calculation notes
  • Verify drawings
  • Contribute to work planning
  • Coordinate work with other engineers and technicians on the team
  • Perform site visits and surveillance, as needed

Requirements


  • Possess a degree in civil engineering
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in infrastructure design, including roads, underground services, and stormwater management
  • Be a member in good standing with the OIQ
  • Possess knowledge with PCSWMM and EPANET software (atout)
  • Knowledge of civil3D (atout)
  • Mastery of French and English language, spoken and written
  • Availability for short-term assignments at clients' sites

WORK LOCATION

The work location will be determined according to the mandate; it may be remote, hybrid, or on-site at the client's.

SALARY

The salary will be calculated based on the average hourly rate corresponding to your profile. There are possibilities of part-time work if desired.
