Senior Engineer MES Systems Torque and Validation

We are looking for a Senior Engineer of MES Systems and Torque Tools to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical and operational support during the installation, validation, and commissioning of torque systems within automotive manufacturing environments, ensuring the correct functioning of tools, integration with production systems, and compliance with client quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:

Installation and Support of Torque Tools

• Provide support during the installation of new torque tools and associated engineering systems.
• Verify the correct implementation of equipment and controllers at assigned stations.
• Ensure that installations meet the technical and operational requirements of the project.

Validation of Torque Strategies

• Review and validate the torque strategies defined for different production applications.
• Verify parameters, sequences, and configurations to ensure the quality of the assembly process.
• Coordinate validation activities with the manufacturing, quality, and engineering departments.

Calibration and System Verification

• Monitor the calibration activities of torque tools and related equipment.
• Validate that the tools operate within the established parameters.
• Perform functional checks of MES systems and torque management platforms to ensure correct communication and data traceability.

Support for Production Tests and Troubleshooting

• Provide support during production tests, pilot runs, and commissioning activities.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to tools, controllers, and integration systems.
• Track findings identified during tests until their resolution.

Coordination with Suppliers and Activity Tracking

• Coordinate technical activities with external suppliers, primarily Atlas Copco and SEMSA.
• Ensure compliance with action plans derived from incidents, validations, and production tests.
• Maintain updated documentation and progress reports during project execution.

Key Deliverables:

• All pending torque stations successfully installed, configured, and commissioned.
• Calibration activities completed and documented.
• Functional validation of MES systems and torque platforms finalized.
• Torque strategies verified and approved for production.
• Punch List closed and documented.
• Updated and delivered progress reports and technical documentation.

Minimum Requirements We Are Looking For:

• Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• More than 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, industrial automation, or torque system integration.
• Experience in installation, commissioning, and validation of controlled torque tools.
• Knowledge of assembly processes, quality, traceability, and production line launches.
• Experience in diagnosing and resolving problems in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of integration between industrial tools, controllers, and MES systems.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, electrical diagrams, and engineering specifications.
• Experience coordinating activities with suppliers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Intermediate-advanced English.

Desired Requirements:

• Experience with Atlas Copco tools and systems.
• Knowledge of torque management and traceability platforms in automotive manufacturing.
• Experience in validation of torque strategies and commissioning processes.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, OPC-UA).
• Participation in new product or production line launches.
• Experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Solid organizational, technical documentation, and project tracking skills.
