Control and Automation Engineer

The person in this position will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing PLC programs, ensuring operational efficiency, system reliability, and compliance with safety and industry standards. Additionally, they will provide technical support and training to local personnel, working collaboratively with multifunctional teams.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PLC programs in alignment with the central department @SgmP.
• Detect, diagnose, and optimize existing PLC programs to improve operational efficiency and system reliability.
• Collaborate with multifunctional teams (engineering, operations, and maintenance) to understand automation requirements and develop effective solutions.
• Maintain and update PLC software, ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
• Provide technical support and training to local personnel in the operation and maintenance of PLC.
• Document programs, configurations, and changes to PLC for future references and traceability.

Skills and Qualifications

Tech Skills

• Mastery of programming languages PLC, including Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagram.
• Practical experience with Siemens S7 platforms.
• Solid knowledge in electrical systems, mechanical systems, and industrial automation.
• Able to diagnose control problems and propose quick and effective solutions.

Professionals

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in both physical and virtual environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field (desirable).
• Certifications in PLC programming and industrial automation (advantageous).
