Topographic Engineer (International)

We are a global family-owned business with over 60 years in the mining, civil and earth moving industry operating in several countries throughout the world.
We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team.
Position: Topographic Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Mine Topographic Engineer to join our team and work on international projects.
Technical Responsibilities
Perform topographic, volumetric, and control surveys to support mine planning, drilling and blasting activities, and earthmoving operations.
Ensure accurate staking, marking, and control of excavation limits, waste dumps, haul roads, and pit designs.
Process and update topographic data using approved software, ensuring its integration with mine planning systems.
Provide daily topographic support to operational and engineering teams to ensure work is executed according to designs and technical requirements.
Prepare and maintain updated maps, plans, and 3D models of mining areas.
Perform periodic calculations of moved material volumes, stockpiles, and excavation zones to support production reports.
Ensure correct calibration, maintenance, and handling of topographic instruments and GPS equipment.
Safety Responsibilities
Comply at all times with EPSA's safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
Perform surveys only in designated and authorized areas, respecting exclusion zones and traffic management plans.
Participate in daily startup and safety meetings.
Immediately report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses.
Contribute to maintaining safe work areas for the topographic team and operational crews.
Environmental Responsibilities
Ensure all mining activities comply with site environmental regulations and applicable best practices.
Integrate environmental controls into mine design and daily operations.
Monitor and minimize the environmental impact of earthmoving, drilling, and blasting activities.
Report and support the management of any environmental incidents or non-compliance.
Requirements
University degree in Surveying Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
Previous experience in open-pit mining topography or large-scale earthmoving projects.
Proficiency with topographic instruments (Total Station, GPS, GNSS, laser scanner).
Knowledge of mine planning and surveying software (e.g., Surpac, Vulcan, Deswik, Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D).
Knowledge of topographic control and volumetric calculations.
Knowledge of HSE regulations and mine safety standards.
International geographic mobility.
