Junior SOC Engineer – Security Monitoring

Focus: You will participate in the monitoring of security events and alerts for various clients, performing initial analysis, ticket follow-up, and documentation of activities according to SOC processes.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or Engineering in Systems, Computing, Networks, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Experience: Professional internships or academic knowledge related to networks, IT security, SOC, or NOC. Experience acquired through courses, labs, personal projects, or platforms like Hack The Box and TryHackMe will also be considered.
• Desirable Certifications: CEH, CCNA, Security+ (Certifications or courses related to networks, Fortinet, perimeter security, or cybersecurity)
• English: B2 level desirable for understanding technical documentation.

Desirable Knowledge

• Networks and communications.
• OSI model and communication protocols.
• Routing & Switching.
• Monitoring of security events and alerts.
• Fundamentals of SIEM and correlators.
• Perimeter security and firewalls.
• Basic traffic analysis using Wireshark.
• Windows and UNIX operating systems.
• Service Desk tools.
• Fundamentals of MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain.
• Technologies such as antivirus, DLP, NAC, Proxy, NGFW, and IPS.

Location and Work Scheme

• Area: San Jerónimo, Mexico City.
• Modality: 100% in-person.
• Schedule: Availability to rotate shifts from Monday to Sunday, with days off during the week:
