Technical Support Engineer in Electronic Security — CCTV and Access Control

Company: IR Systems de México S.A. de C.V.

Location: Metropolitan Area of Mexico City, with on-site client service.

Modality: On-site / field work.

Job Type: Full-time.

Total Monthly Compensation: MXN $18,000 to $22,700, depending on experience and technical knowledge.

Job Description

We are looking to integrate a Technical Support Engineer in Electronic Security with experience in configuration, commissioning, diagnostics, maintenance, and support of CCTV systems, access control, alarms, detection, networks, and related infrastructure into our team.


The position is oriented towards a specialized technical profile, capable of resolving complex failures, technically coordinating field activities, documenting solutions, and maintaining professional communication with AAA corporate clients.


Main Responsibilities

  • Configure, diagnose, commission, and support CCTV systems, access control, alarms, and detection.
  • Participate in the commissioning of electronic security systems in corporate and industrial facilities.
  • Diagnose complex failures in IP cameras, recorders, servers, controllers, readers, sensors, networks, cabling, and management software.
  • Configure equipment, platforms, users, permissions, rules, devices, and operational parameters according to the project scope.
  • Assist in technical surveys, scope validation, infrastructure review, and solution definition.
  • Technically coordinate B and C technicians during maintenance, corrective services, or technical activities at the client's site.
  • Prepare technical reports, configuration documentation, service evidence, and recommendations to the client.
  • Ensure that implemented solutions are functional, organized, documented, and aligned with the real needs of each operation.
  • Maintain technical and professional communication with clients, users, supervisors, and internal departments.
  • Support the continuous improvement of technical procedures, configuration standards, diagnostics, and documentation.


Requirements

  • Engineering in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Systems, Telecommunications, or a related field. Incomplete engineering with demonstrable technical experience may also be considered.
  • Minimum suggested experience of 4 to 6 years in electronic security, telecommunications, networks, CCTV, access control, or special systems.
  • Demonstrable experience in configuration, maintenance, diagnostics, commissioning, and support of CCTV and/or access control systems.
  • Solid knowledge of IP networks, structured cabling, electronics, computer equipment, and technical diagnostics.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and technical documentation tools.
  • Ability to interpret diagrams, blueprints, datasheets, manuals, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Availability to travel to field services and occasionally travel within the Republic when the project requires it.
  • High sense of responsibility, order, technical judgment, good presentation, and professional client interaction.


Desirable

  • Certifications or training in CCTV, access control, networks, or special systems brands.
  • Experience with video management platforms, access control, or security management systems.
  • Knowledge in Linux, Windows Server, servers, databases, or advanced networks.
  • Experience with industrial, pharmaceutical, corporate, airport clients, or critical sites.
  • Technical English for reading manuals, datasheets, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Experience technically coordinating field activities or supporting less experienced technicians.
