Solutions Engineer in Communication Equipment

The Solutions Engineer in Communications will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing connectivity solutions based on communication equipment, mainly routers and switches, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the organization's data networks.

You must have the ability to evaluate connection needs, propose the most suitable solution for each scenario, and ensure the correct operation of communication equipment in different business environments.

Main Responsibilities:

• Analyze communication and connectivity requirements of the organization.
• Design and implement technical solutions with routers and switches that adapt to each type of connection.
• Configure, administer, and provide preventive and corrective maintenance to communication equipment.
• Ensure the availability, security, and quality of the network service.
• Prepare technical documentation and configuration reports.
• Provide second and third level technical support in the solution of incidents related to communication equipment.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to integrate robust network solutions.

Requirements:

• Systems, Telecommunications, Networks Engineering or related field.
• University degree and professional license.
• Network certification (example: Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper, Huawei or equivalents).
• Proven experience in administration and incident resolution in routers and switches.
• Knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and switching (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel).
• Analytical skills, problem-solving, and results-oriented.
