Information Security Engineer

Job Description General The Role We are looking for an Information Security Engineer with a proven track record in implementing security controls, incident response, and regulatory compliance review. The ideal candidate has a 4-6 year work history in similar positions, is technically self-sufficient and able to develop complex functionalities as well as execute large-scale projects. Although may require support for relevant decision-making, dominates language skills and can communicate effectively with stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing security controls to protect sensitive information • Conducting risk assessments and vulnerability analysis • Implementing incident response procedures and reviewing compliance with regulatory requirements • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential security threats • Providing technical guidance and support to ensure the effective implementation of security measures • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of information security principles, protocols, and standards, as well as experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field. Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent. Skills: • Programming languages: Python, Java, C++, etc. • Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, macOS, etc. • Network protocols and architectures: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc. • Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc. • Cybersecurity frameworks: NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, etc. • Compliance regulations: GDPR, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, etc. • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
