Job Title Network Engineer – Level 3 (L3) Job Summary The Network L3 Engineer is a senior technical expert responsible for the design, engineering, implementation, and advanced troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure. This role acts as the highest escalation point from L1/L2 teams, leads complex problem resolution, and provides long‑term architectural and operational improvements to ensure network stability, scalability, and performance. Key Responsibilities Network Engineering & Design: • Develops and implements comprehensive network architecture designs for large-scale networks, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate network infrastructure with other IT systems. • Designs and deploys advanced network technologies such as SDN, NFV, and IoT. Troubleshooting & Resolution: • Provides expert-level technical support for complex network issues, leveraging deep knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and security. • Leads root cause analysis and develops corrective actions to resolve critical network outages or performance issues. • Collaborates with L1/L2 teams to develop and implement process improvements for incident resolution and problem management. Network Operations & Maintenance: • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. • Develops and implements network monitoring and reporting tools to ensure proactive issue detection and resolution. • Collaborates with IT teams to integrate network services with other IT systems, such as cloud, virtualization, and data center environments. Education & Certifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. • CCNA/CCNP/CCIE certifications (or equivalent). • Strong understanding of networking protocols, routing, switching, and security principles.
