Product Engineer (Temporary)

The Product Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving products according to customer needs and company quality standards. They will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and purchasing teams to ensure products meet technical specifications, costs, and delivery times.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Graduate Engineer in Electrical, Electronics, or similar, preferably, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in product development or manufacturing engineering.
• Intermediate-advanced English.
• Experience with wire harnesses (Indispensable)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY OF THE POSITION:

• Responsible for reviewing the product drawing and validating that each of the components to be used are correct for the design application such as prototypes, pre-pilots, samples, tooling, etc.
• Review customer drawings and select components, prepare cut sheets using ECM codes.
• Release the first pieces in the different stages.
• With authority to stop production if necessary.

KEY ACTIVITIES OF THE POSITION:

• Preparation of “Cut Cards”
• Enter Cut Card information into CMS and BPCS systems
• Generate revision changes
• Send wire harness documentation for its wire harness price freezing process
• New product development
• Review of “Cut Cards” and revision changes
• Generate, review, and/or follow up on rework instructions
• Provide technical support to the production area
• New product development
• Research specifications to register new materials into the process
• Send finished product classification information for the customs department
• Maintain BPCS for printing wire harness labels
• Small-scale project management
• Support Engineering technicians
• Prepare information or questions to send to the customer
• Request information for deviations
