We are hiring a Process Engineer with a focus on launches. Based in Puebla Pistones. In this role, you will be responsible for leading continuous improvement in the plant by driving projects and initiatives focused on adding value to the organization. Plan strategies where cost-saving initiatives are generated, driving improvement and control of processes. Assist in the identification and proliferation of best manufacturing practices. You will be responsible for supporting an operational excellence culture in all plant operations with an emphasis on sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor the design and implementation of manufacturing processes for new projects.

Conduct product design reviews with corporate to improve manufacturing

(DFMA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly)).

Attend meetings and reviews of active projects.

Participate in the development of DMSO (Design and Manufacturing Approval).

Cost reduction opportunities.

Review of GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Review of plant capacity analysis.

Budget control of all assigned projects (projects under Budget).

Ensure and track Launch Trackers for all assigned projects.

Hold internal department follow-up meetings to review open and/or escalable points.

Track and ensure the timely closure of activities for all assigned projects

that are in Planisware.

Track and coordinate product engineering changes in the project and series stages

What will make you successful in this position?

Mandatory Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in Operational Excellence, continuous improvement, or similar roles in the automotive industry.

• Education: Industrial Engineering and/or related fields.

• Knowledge of GD&T, mandatory automotive industry documentation, European and American norms and regulations. · Knowledge of Core Tools (FMEA, APQP, MSA, SPC). · Knowledge of time and motion analysis. · Knowledge of line balancing. · Knowledge of blueprint interpretation. · Knowledge of personnel administration. · Knowledge of ISO 14001. · Knowledge of CSRs (GM, Daimler, Ford, as clients). · Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. · Knowledge of Project Management • Experience in launching new projects.

• Ability and capacity to manage continuous improvement projects.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

• Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 standard

• Solid knowledge of Core Tools

• Advanced English

• Six Sigma Certification (desirable).

• VDA 6.3 (Desirable)
