Molding Process Engineer

About the Position:
KI Industries, Inc., is seeking a Molding Process Engineer. For our plant located in the Industrial Park El Marques. The position will ensure stability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of plastic injection processes, guaranteeing product quality, industry standards compliance, and resource optimization for machines, molds, and materials.

Responsibilities:

• Develop AMEF for injection and update AMEF according to IATF standard.
• Develop flow diagrams for the injection area according to IATF standard.
• Conduct research through 8D discipline to find root cause.
• Release new mold technology using sim technology.
• Perform machine studies for qualification and weighing of automotive or appliance machines.
• Develop statistics on top ten scrap to determine root causes of scrap.
• Develop SPC for automotive parts and injection machines.
• Conduct LPA audits and BOM reviews to find non-conformities in process and correct them.

Educación:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field, or equivalent.
• TSU in manufacturing processes and plastics or equivalent.
• Intermediate-advanced English proficiency.

Experience:

• 5 years of experience in plastic injection process positions, ideal in the automotive industry.

Tech Skills:

• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001-2015, VDA 6.3.
• Interpretation of plans, electricity, hydraulics, basic electronics, knowledge of engineering resins, tools, and peripheral equipment.
• Programming of Wittman and Sepro robots (desirable).
• Prior certification in Master Molder and CQI-23 preferred.
