Job description
Torreón Coahuila Manufacturing Engineer Analyzes established engineering principles to determine the sequence of steps or processes required to manufacture and assemble products that meet the organization's quality and cost standards. Analyzes product specifications, part drawings, and other engineering data.
Responsibilities Skills.
Requisition tooling based on Industrial Engineering calculations such as dies, fixtures, special equipment, presses, cutters.
Ensure the preparation of the BOM is carried out, request the setup of new components from item master, with the collaboration of the assistant identify the changes to see which blocks will be required.
Ensure the release of electrical test and assembly machines.
Ensure that improvements found in the first piece validation are updated in the Oracle system as well as documented to understand the effectiveness of BOM preparation.
Measure the accuracy of BOMs.
Ensure that process visual aids are generated, review the daily schedule to see if new part numbers have been added.
Make engineering changes required through deviations.
Attend APQP meetings, ensure issues are documented.
Hold meetings for the incorporation of new parts and/or revision changes.
Verify that equipment arrival dates are met, if there are any setbacks, ensure they are documented in APQP.
Coordinate with Import/Export to ensure the classification of finished products to be exported.
Coordinate with Program Engineering the setup of new components and that raw material is not used in the plant with the purchasing department.
Ensure that the ramp up ramp down, time chart of projects reviewed through APQP are published.
Assist the production department in the preparation of prototypes, ensure that new components are requested for their construction.
Coordinate project RFAs.
Preparation of fixed asset inventory in coordination with the plant's asset manager.
Verification and approval of masters, prototypes, and PPAPs. Update databases for components.
Comply with and ensure compliance with PKC Group's Environmental, Health, and Safety Policy and Energy Policy. Comply with the environmental, safety, health, and energy requirements set forth in Federal, State, and Municipal legislation and applicable regulations related to our activities and products to comply with the EMASS Energy, Environment, Health, and Safety procedures inherent to your job position. Contribute to the effectiveness of the EMASS Energy, Environment, Health, and Safety Management System, including the achievement of EMASS Objectives and Goals. Required Profile.
Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering
3 to 5 years of experience. Required Skills and Knowledge
