Maintenance Supervisor Specialist in Automotive Plastic Injection

Do you have experience leading the maintenance of plastic injection machines in the automotive industry?

This opportunity is for you.

We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor with solid experience in plastic injection processes, focused on guaranteeing the maximum reliability, availability, and efficiency of injection machines, peripheral equipment, and automated systems that support the production of automotive components.

Main responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities of plastic injection machines, robots, cooling systems, dryers, feeders, and other peripheral equipment.
  • Ensure the availability and performance of injection machines to meet production, quality, and customer delivery plans.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control failures in injection equipment.
  • Lead and develop the maintenance technical team, promoting a culture of safety, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement strategies to reduce downtime, increase equipment reliability, and improve maintenance indicators.
  • Participate in the installation, startup, and optimization of new injection machines and automation projects.
  • Manage critical spare parts, suppliers, and external services to ensure operational continuity.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable automotive quality, safety, environmental, and management system standards.

Required profile

Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Electronic Engineering, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in automotive manufacturing plants with plastic injection processes.

Extensive knowledge in maintenance and troubleshooting of Engel, KraussMaffei, Haitian, Husky, Negri Bossi, Arburg, Milacron, or similar plastic injection machines.

Experience in hydraulic systems, servomotors, automation, electrical controls, thermoregulation, extraction robots, and injection peripheral equipment.

Knowledge of TPM, root cause analysis, FMEA, 8D, and maintenance indicator management (MTTR, MTBF, and OEE).

Experience leading technical teams and managing maintenance resources.
