Job description

Supervise the operation of water treatment systems and equipment and Plant Engineering necessary to supply the plant's supports and needs, allowing the achievement and surpassing of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale, and Environmental objectives, established in all company departments, always focused on improving these systems, equipment, and facilities.

Develop plant improvement projects that guarantee the achievement of objectives.

 1. Manage the resources of the Plant Engineering area to provide the supports, equipment, and facilities required to meet the company's objectives regarding SPW domains.

  1. Coordinate, supervise, and advise Facilities technicians in the development of their activities.
  2. Foster, coordinate, standardize, and promote the participation of Plant Engineering personnel in the improvement process and implementation of the SPW System, SPW assurance, and work teams.
  3. Coordinate and promote the participation of Plant Engineering personnel in the implementation of various improvement systems, such as SPWM, MQAS, OHSAS 18001, ISO 50001, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, and practical problem-solving.
  4. Develop diverse operational strategies that allow for the achievement of departmental and plant cost reduction objectives.
  5. Develop a Preventive and Predictive Maintenance plan for critical plant equipment such as: Electrical Substations, Air Compressors, ensuring equipment operability and reducing downtime caused by the Plant Engineering Department.
  6. Analyze, develop, and issue plant investment projects, relationships with Facilities and Engineering, with Cost-Benefit studies to determine the appropriate equipment for making the required plant improvements.
  7. Support the Purchasing department in developing corporate technical tables among various options to determine the best alternative in purchased services.
  8. Research specifications, regulations, statistics, prices, and gather information from alternative departments, required as justification for investment projects.
  9. Determination of equipment, evaluation, and assurance of suppliers and external services for the Engineering and Facilities area.
  10. Contribute to investment projects.
  11. Analyze and develop special studies for Budget Base and Capital Plan.
  12. 13. Coordinate provider training for Plant Engineering personnel, ensuring personnel training and participation.
  13. 14. Follow up on the delivery of requested equipment and services, whether under normal plant requirements and/or project requirements.
  14. 15. Promote training in direct personnel, seeking the development and growth of the staff under their charge.
  15. 16. Direct contact with national and foreign suppliers to obtain viable proposals for the development of improvement projects.
  16. 17. Follow-up and assurance of services provided to the plant, whether internal and/or external.
  17. 18. Develop plant operational strategies that ensure compliance with all governmental, STPS, Safety, and Environmental regulatory requirements.
  18. 19. Promoter and Champion in the development and implementation of the Energy Saving System.
  19. 20. Follow-up on the acquisition of spare parts by monitoring requisitions, purchase orders, approvals, and invoicing thereof.
  20. 21. Ensure that the MQAS system is established, documented, implemented, and maintained in accordance with the requirements of the manufacturing quality and environmental assurance system.
