Product Quality Engineer

Job Description:



General Objective:

  1. To help maintain the required quality standards for AguP products.
  2. To ensure that all products under your responsibility are controlled throughout all production stages, in accordance with Bosch design standards and our customers' specifications/requirements.
  3. To provide feedback to other departments at AguP.
  4. To support and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  5. To coordinate corrective and preventive actions together with other AguP departments.
  6. To manage assigned resources effectively.

Specific Functions:

  1. To lead internal quality problems and provide full support for customer quality issues.
  2. To ensure the correct implementation of engineering/process changes in lines under your responsibility, using Bosch change management procedures.
  3. To control Non-Conforming Material (identified during the process or returned by the customer), define its proper disposition, and ensure the correct execution of this same.
  4. Implement corrective actions/Participate in IQIS teams.
    1. To establish and document effective containment activities.
    2. To document applied corrective actions.
    3. To validate/verify that corrective actions are implemented and executed effectively.
  5. To coordinate activities for classified hourly associates at AguP/QMM2.
    1. Product Area Audit Administration.
    2. Non-Conforming Material Control.
    3. Teardown Analysis.
    4. Process and Product Audits.
  6. To develop inspection instructions for new models, based on the FMEA process and Control Plan.
  7. To develop Testing Methods for new devices together with AguP/MFE and AguP/QMM6. Ensure they meet minimum requirements for System Analysis of Measurement (MSA).
  8. To review and approve operation instructions (HOTE's) developed by AguP/MFE.
  9. To support special production runs; for example: PTRs, Run @ Rates, Prototype Builds. As required.
  10. To keep quality documentation up-to-date for lines/products under your responsibility (e.g., Control Plan, DCS, ITM, etc.).
  11. To develop, review, approve, and implement effective Quality Alerts.
  12. To develop and implement systematic improvements derived from the organization's strategies.
  13. To ensure correct quality planning for New Product Launches.
  14. Other activities identified by management.
