CIVIL ENGINEER WITH EXPERIENCE IN HIGHWAY DRAINAGE DESIGN

CIVIL ENGINEER WITH EXPERIENCE IN HIGHWAY DRAINAGE DESIGN

Requirements:

• Civil Engineering degree.
• Minimum experience of 3 to 5 years in design and participation in highway studies and projects, developed in accordance with the regulations of the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT, formerly SCT). Additional experience in the design and development of drainage projects, including minor and major drainage works associated with road infrastructure, will be valued.
• Verifiable knowledge of design characteristics for A4 type roads and integration of the main project components and contents, such as “Kilometer Plants”.
• Knowledge of highway design specifications according to the SICT geometric and drainage design manual.
• Extensive command in handling the type of treatment that can be given to natural terrain for the construction of highway earthworks.
• Clearance and minimum sizing of drainage works and structures.
• Constructive drainage projects, transversal and longitudinal for highways.
• Proficiency in the following tools: AutoCAD, Civil CAD, ArcGIS, Curva Masa CM SCT, GLOBAL MAPPER, and DESIRABLY CIVIL 3D.

Functions:

• Hydrological studies, basic and executive.
• Hydraulic analysis of transversal drainage works.
• Generate calculations for superelevations, widenings, and clearances.
• Analysis of minimum subgrade.
• Drainage calculation reports (minor).
• Preparation of constructive plans for drainage works (pipes, slabs, culverts).
• Execute the integration of design plans (kilometer plant, working profile, constructive plans, construction sections).
• Perform interpretation of the mass curve table.
