Who we are

UTwin is an Italian PropTech scale-up with offices at OGR Tech in Turin. We help property owners and managers digitize the management of their assets through a SaaS platform that integrates Digital Twin, Facility Management, Energy Management, BIM, and IoT.

Our platform is used by companies like Stellantis, Leonardo, Bvlgari, Lavazza, Safilo, IED, McArthurGlen, and other major enterprise clients to manage buildings, maintenance, energy consumption, and technical documentation on a single cloud platform.

We are entering a new growth phase and want to strengthen the Operations team with a technical figure who can grow rapidly within the company, gradually taking on autonomy in managing Energy & IoT projects and client relations.

The role

We are looking for an Energy Engineer to join the Operations team, with the goal of managing and developing projects related to energy monitoring and IoT sensorization for our clients.

We consider profiles with different experience levels, from recent graduates and junior profiles to be trained, up to individuals with 3-5 years of experience in the Energy, IoT, building technology, or related fields. The level of responsibility and autonomy will be commensurate with the person's experience and skills.

The individual will work on real-world cases within complex buildings and real estate portfolios, focusing on collecting and analyzing energy data, configuring monitoring systems, and implementing projects.

For junior profiles, an initial period of mentorship and training on the product, IoT technologies, and project management is foreseen, with the aim of gradually assuming greater autonomy and responsibility.

They will also have constant interaction with the Development team, learning to translate clients' energy and operational needs into clear requirements for developers and participating in discussions on platform evolution.

This position is suitable for someone with a strong interest in energy, buildings, technology, and IoT, who wants to grow in a scale-up environment and have concrete responsibilities.

Main responsibilities

• Support the management of Energy Management and IoT projects from the initiation phase through to go-live.
• Analyze energy consumption and data from sensors, smart meters, and monitoring systems.
• Configure and monitor IoT devices within the UTwin platform and collaborate in defining measurement points and sensorization.
• Support the operational management of relations with suppliers and installers, handling component procurement, quote collection, and estimation of hardware costs and quantities required for projects.
• Participate in site surveys, installations, and configurations at client sites and support the coordination of activities necessary for device commissioning.
• Verify data quality, identify any anomalies, and support analysis and reporting on the energy performance of buildings.
• Interface with clients, gathering needs, requirements, and feedback, and following up with them even after go-live.
• Collaborate daily with the Development team, translating client needs into technical requirements and contributing to platform evolution and the development of new Energy & AI use cases.
• Participate in demos and technical meetings with clients and prospects, supporting the Sales team in identifying opportunities for extending existing projects.
• Contribute to the standardization of processes and methodologies used in Energy & IoT projects and gradually acquire autonomy in managing projects, clients, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 0-5 years of professional experience. We consider both recent graduates and junior profiles to be trained, as well as individuals with experience in Energy Management, energy efficiency, building technology, IoT, or related sectors.
• Interest in energy management, energy efficiency, and technologies applied to buildings.
• Good data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Interest in IoT, sensorization, and monitoring systems.
• Good organizational and priority management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interface with technical, business, and developer stakeholders.
• Proactivity, problem-solving attitude, and a desire to learn and progressively take on responsibility.
• Good knowledge of the English language.
• Willingness to undertake occasional business trips to clients.

Are considered a plus

• Knowledge of BMS, EMS systems, or Energy Management platforms.
• Knowledge of IoT protocols or technologies.
• Experience with sensors, smart meters, or data acquisition systems.
• Knowledge of data analysis tools, Excel, or Python.
• Knowledge of BIM, Digital Twin, or building management technologies.
• Experience in site surveys or installation of technological systems.

The offer

• Type of employment to be defined based on the candidate's experience and profile: apprenticeship or employment contract.
• Indicative gross annual salary: €28,000-€36,000, commensurate with experience, skills, and level of autonomy.
