Job description
MEXTYPSA, a transnational company with over 15 years of market positioning, a subsidiary of Grupo TYPSA with international presence and dedicated to consulting in the fields of civil engineering, architecture, industry, energy, and environment; contributing to the development of infrastructure and equipment for various projects in Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, is seeking:
STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER FOR ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE IN TRANSMISSION LINES AND ELECTRICAL SUBSTATIONS.
Requirements:
- Education in Civil Engineering with a specialization in structures, Master's degree or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in structural design for transmission lines and substations.
- Knowledge of design standards, manuals, and specifications such as: CFE, NTC, AISC, ACI, among others.
- Review of diaphragms, seismic distribution by torsion, service conditions, and ultimate strength design.
- Design of metallic structures for industry.
- Equipment foundations.
- Non-linear, static, and dynamic seismic analysis.
- Proficiency in international standards such as ACI, EUROCODE.
- Proficiency in AUTOCAD, STAAD PRO, CIPECAD.
- Intermediate/Advanced English.
Functions:
- Generate structural design and modeling for structural analysis.
- Preparation and review of calculation reports.
- Execute the conformation of design bases.
- Perform structural design of elements, generation of design aids, and calculation reports.
- Effectuate coordination for plan drawing, material quantification.
- Seismic, static, and dynamic analysis.
- Conformation of design basis and drawing coordination.
- Integration of equipment foundation plans.
- Attend technical meetings with clients.
