Infrastructure Manager

The municipality of Voorne aan Zee is a thriving and growing municipality on Voorne-Putten, where over 74,000 residents live, businesses operate in a healthy climate, and thousands of tourists enjoy the beaches every year. Because the well-being of residents takes precedence, the municipality works intensively with residents, regional partners, and social institutions.

The municipal organization consists of eight departments, all working from five core values: personal, resilient, historical, natural, and connecting. One of these departments is Spatial Management and Implementation. This department is responsible for managing and maintaining public space, including roads, green spaces, public buildings, and preparing and implementing civil engineering projects.

As Infrastructure Manager, you will be part of the Team Beheer and Environment within the Department of Spatial Management and Implementation, a tight-knit group of twenty engaged colleagues. Within this team, we work together to maintain a sustainable and future-oriented outdoor space with stability and safety as our starting points.

• As Infrastructure Manager, you will develop and manage current management plans and maintenance programs, working closely with colleague managers and advisors within the spatial domain. You will also monitor financial frameworks to make sustainable and effective investments possible.
• You will develop, maintain, and optimize above-ground infrastructure, such as pavements, road markings, street lighting, cables, and pipes, and actively think about sewer maintenance within the municipality.
• In addition, you will contribute to the further professionalization of asset management and advise on various projects and programs, both within the organization and towards external parties.
• You will build and maintain a network of cooperation partners and advise on political dossiers, contributing to well-informed decision-making and support.
• As contract manager, you are responsible for managing larger maintenance contracts and steer the procurement process efficiently and goal-oriented.
• Based on inspection data, you will set up maintenance programs for infrastructure and ensure (partially) the execution thereof, so that public space remains safe and functional.
• You will map the technical state of various infrastructure domains, such as roads and sewerage, and link issues where these intersect for integral and future-proof solutions.
