Website: https://scu.lk/ Job Summary: The foundation studies IT Lecturer is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching in assigned foundation subjects (Programming Skills, System Analysis and Design), while fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality teaching in assigned foundation subjects to students from diverse backgrounds. • Develop and maintain course materials, including lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations. • Provide individualized support and guidance to students, addressing their academic and personal needs. • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and assessment strategies. • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures. • Engage in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in teaching and learning. Job Requirements: • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field. • Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching IT-related subjects at a higher education institution. • Strong understanding of programming languages, software development methodologies, and system analysis and design principles. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. • Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures. • Familiarity with learning management systems and educational technology tools.
