Information Security Officer

The position

As Senior Information Security Officer, you will be responsible for translating laws and regulations, such as the Cyber Security Act (Cbw, NIS2) and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), and international standards, such as ISO27001 and TISAX, into effective policy and concrete measures for VDL Group. In doing so, you will contribute to improving security awareness within all VDL companies. You will also ensure the daily management of the Security Office Team based on an agile approach. You will answer policy-related questions, provide advice where necessary, and guide companies in complying with laws, regulations, and international standards. You will work closely with your direct colleagues at the Security Office and colleagues within ICT. Your tasks will include the Governance, Risk, and Compliance domain (GRC), including:

• Performing risk analyses and improving, managing, and monitoring the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
• Guiding all VDL companies in certifications such as ISO27001, TISAX, and CRA.
• Translating complex subjects, such as the Cyber Security Act (Cbw, NIS2) and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), into concrete steps within VDL Group.
• Answering policy-related questions.
• Working within an agile approach, in close collaboration with all colleagues.

Your strength

As a Senior Information Security Officer, you are communicative, connecting, and know how to translate policy and goals into actionable plans. In addition to your extensive substantive knowledge, you have experience in managing a team. You are entrepreneurial, think in terms of solutions, and enjoy working together in a dynamic environment. Furthermore, you bring the following:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in cyber security.
• Experience as a Product Owner and extensive experience with stakeholder management.
• Experience in leading teams and projects in the cybersecurity domain.
• Experience with both agile working and traditional project management.
• Knowledge of and/or certifications in ISO27001, NIS2, TISAX, and CRA.
• Good command of the Dutch (C2) and English languages.
